I spoke too soon...

Yeah, yesterday I claimed that Maddie was a precious little angel. She really is. She loves to be loved and does whatever she can to get attention and cuddles. Regardless, this morning I didn't want to touch her with a ten-foot pole.

I got up at 8:30 to get ready for a Yoga class at the gym. My reasons were two-fold because we are once again without hot water, and if I actually went across the street to the gym and exercised, I could also have a hot shower. Fantastic.

Unfortunately, Miss Maddie had quite the accident in her kennel overnight. I have no idea why. Kev took her out near midnight when he got home. She has never made a mess like that before, and I will spare you details. Let's just say I couldn't handle it. Kev is much better suited to getting his hands dirty. I made the obligatory runs to the washing machine while he cleaned out the kennel. And I bought him breakfast afterwards.

Maddie seems fine. No upset tummy. She ran around outside both times I've taken her this morning. Maybe it was her way of getting revenge since I bathed her last night. Oh yes, did I forget to mention that? Of course she makes a mess the day after I've bathed her and her bedding. It makes perfect sense.

Now it's 5 hours later and I still haven't made it to the gym or a warm shower. I really had such great intentions when I got up. How did they get away from me?

  1. yesterday my roomate hogged the bathroom in the morning, and then by the time i got to get in the shower, it was freezing cold. normally if there is no hot water i refuse to take a shower. but i had a big day ahead of me and needed one. it was like torture. maybe i should get a gym membership hahaha

  2. oh sad. cold showers really are painful. honest to goodness painful. i find it helps to at least get out and shave my legs in the sink. saves me from over-exposure and goosebumps.
but with no hot water, the dishes also just keep piling up. yuck.
