I'm NOT Kidding

Sometimes I usher for various cultural events on WSU campus. Symphonies, plays, string concerts and the like. There is always a memorable experience, and it usually has nothing to do with the performance. Tonight was no exception.

I was standing at my lobby door with my ushering partner when one of the youth volunteers approached us from inside the house. She had a very interesting question on behalf of one of our patrons in the middle of the show. Allow me to relate the following from my best recollection:

"There's a gentleman inside who says his wife is very short. He is wondering if you have any kind of box that she can put her feet on so they're not dangling from her seat."

Really? Are you serious? Do these people make a habit of going to the symphony and requesting foot stools? This is a real live symphony people. Not Megaplex 13. 'Fraid we can't offer no booster seats for the performances folks.
