Oooh La La

While my little brother Jeshua has been on his LDS Mission, I've been babysitting his iPod. Unfortunately it was a bit of a lemon, so I haven't gotten much use out of it. Before it died, it had 40GB worth of memory for all my tunes.

Jeshua told me that I would probably have to take it in for servicing a couple of times before he got back from Mexico. After that, he said he'd be eligible for a replacement/upgrade. Well, Kev and I lugged that brick of an iPod to Best Buy at least 3 times in the last 2 years. We actually got laughed at because it is so archaic. One of the Geek Squad guys said he couldn't believe I still had that iPod, let alone all the receipts for the servicing it's endured.

It looks a little like this:
The last time I brought it in, Best Buy took it and said they'd "Junk It Out." Meaning they'd send it to Apple and since it's old and dead, Jeshua would be entitled to a beautiful upgrade.

So they took it. Then they called my mom instead of me. She's in Maine. The iPod was taken to Best Buy in Utah. She didn't really know what they were talking about. So Kev and I went back to Best Buy with all 26 receipts regarding sad little giant old iPod.

The woman who helped us last night is a GEM. She got us around one little mix-up after another and look what I got to take home:
It's a 160GB shiny black iPod Classic. It plays video, holds pictures and an infinite amount of music (ok, not really but it seems like it!) Last night Kev helped me update my iTunes and load music onto this sleek little number. All 952 songs I had only took up something like 6GB of memory. Also, I may have slightly exaggerated the dimensions in my drawings, but you get the idea.

I'll take care of it for the next 2 months as if it were my own.

You're welcome Jesh.
