*cough*

What did we do to celebrate two great years of marriage?

Well, I was sick. So I slept a lot while Kev and my brother did the plumbing at the Pink House. I even slept on the floor of the PH as the hours crept past midnight and close to 2AM. The boys had left some fittings in my car so I had to return to the PH around 10PM to bring them back. I decided to just hang out there and offer my support while the boys kept working since I didn't think they'd keep going much longer. I am seriously impressed they lasted so long. I think Seth arrived around 10:45AM on Saturday, and didn't leave until almost 2AM Sunday morning to head back to Sandy.

I think getting the PEX plumbing started is one of the best presents I could have gotten for our anniversary. It means we're so much closer to moving in. Plus, at midnight on Friday Kev came home from working on the PH and had some hybrid lily flowers for me. That was an awesome surprise.

Even though I was sick, don't think I didn't do a little something for Kev. For the first time in my life, I made satisfactory chocolate chip cookies. Not too crispy, not too doughy. Also, last year I adopted Maddie around our anniversary, and we all know she's the gift that keeps on giving.

I really appreciate that Kev and I aren't big on giving gifts just for the sake of an occasion. I know that all the work we're putting into the Pink House serves as a way of celebrating our two years together, and it also serves as a toast to the years to come.

But we can still go to Rooster's this summer, right? I recommend the Pacific Coast Bisque.

However, thinking of seafood right now is making me nauseous. Being at work is making me nauseous. Knowing I still have 7 hours at my desk today is making me nauseous. Being sick is so lame. Wish me well, please.
