Thankful Thursday

Kev and I were only a little late, but we finally had a sit-down dinner to celebrate the good things that are happening in life (buying house, wedding anniversary, Kev's new job, etc...).

On Friday night we went to Boccia's D'Italia on Washington Blvd in Ogden. It's like the Olive Garden, but with charm. It was quite refreshing. The breadsticks were delicious. The mozzerella sticks were delicious. The garlic shrimp linguini was delicious. And I'm sure Kev's meal was good too, I was just too absorbed in my own to pay attention. The cuisine is more New York-Italian than Italy-Italian.

Boccia's D'Italia also does murder-mystery-style dinner theater in their upstairs banquet hall. They cater too. We didn't enjoy such entertainment when we went, but I thought I'd give you the heads up. Their service was amazingly fast, which was super excellent considering it was 7pm on a Friday night. Please go, you'll love it.

After dinner we rented the second National Treasure movie. Something about a book of legend. Yes? Sure. Before we settled in to watch it, Kev and I waddled our full bellies down to the river with Maddie to give her a bit of exercise. And to throw some rocks from our yard back into the river.

Overall, the dinner was fantastic, the walk was leisurely, the movie was fun, and wearing my hot pink heels was a highlight. I'm glad we were able to finally enjoy a Friday date night together to congratulate ourselves for being so grown up and great.

  1. That's one of the best parts of being a young married couple, wouldn't you say..? Date nights rock. You guys so deserve it. We'll have to get together soon.
