Wear-to-Work Challenge, Day 1

Mary, a bloggy friend of mine, did a wardrobe challenge for herself throughout October. The purpose was to find confidence and a lot of great stuff in her very own closet.

I didn't jump on the bandwagon last month because I felt too stressed out with life to focus on my wardrobe. But it's been on my mind since Mary brought it up. She did an awesome job and she has convinced me to check out Plato's Closet for clothes next time I feel like shopping!

Anyway, even though I've already posted twice today, I really want to get started on the wardrobe challenge. Instead of doing it 7 days a week, I'm only going to worry about work days.

So, without further ado:

Necklace: gift from Mandi (New York & Co.)

Purple top: ROSS

Yellow tank and black skirt: Old Navy

Gold heels: DSW (Guess)

Maddie: one-of-a-kind

  1. oh my goodness, i'm so flattered! and i'm so excited to see what you come up with, it's a fun (and tough at times!) challenge!

i LOVE your outfit -- the colors are awesome and that skirt is so purty!

(and on a side not -- for some random reason i thought kris told me you went to mueller park. so i guess we didn't go to the same jr. high! bummer!)

  2. Dude, that outfit is adorable! And I LOVE the idea. Way to go.

  3. Mary- yeah, sad. I went to the OTHER jr high in Bntfl. But I totally know ppl who went to Mueller.

And thanks for the idea for the challenge!!

  4. I'm totally looking forward to this! I could NEVER do it, because my wardrobe consists of like, 10 shirts at the moment. And the ones that are waiting for me underneath the house might not see the light of day for a while. And even if they do...I might not want them to. So this might inspire me in my quest to restock my closet. Once, ya know, I'm somewhere near that pre-baby weight.

Thanks for stopping by!
