Why I need therapy

Someone I interact with daily starts every single sentence with "uuuuuuuuuuhmmm?" Drawn out. Just like that.

There is also "meh," which is always accompanied with a shoulder shrug.

And a Utah favorite, "BAAAH!" which I have grown to despise beyond belief.

I don't think these things bother me because I'm an uptight English major. These things bother me BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WORDS.

I know this because when I spell-checked this post, they were highlighted.

  1. Maybe they need therapy too. :)

  2. I work with a guy who is convinced these ARE words. He teaches his kids their teachers are wrong when they say every word must have a vowel in it. Like "shhhh" and "hmmm." The worst part of this? He's a copy editor.

  4. Lol! I totally love this post.

And I'm guilty of saying BAH! Can we still be friends?!

  5. *siiiiiiiiiiiigh*

I guess I can forgive "BAH" from you, Mary, b/c I haven't actually had to hear you say it.

If you forgive my obsession use of the phrase "pretty much" we'll be even.
