An afternoon at Winslow Park with my little sister, who's been driving me around all week.

After sleeping in until 11, I finally felt like I was on vacation. I think I equate being lazy with being on vacation. Are they not the same thing?

Sophia came home from work just after noon and we packed up for the beach! There's a lovely little spot in Freeport that I've been going to since I was a wee little one. I even took my own camp kids there the summer I organized outings for 3-6 year olds.
It was blazing hot when we first set up our towels and whipped out our reading material. The clouds were minimal and we literally just sat there looking at each other for a minute.

When the clouds rolled in I was actually relieved. It eased the heat and I even got brave enough to put my toes in the Atlantic ocean while reading "Good Housekeeping" magazine.

We had so much fun and I'm so glad Sophia only works mornings on Saturdays.

Sophia has a date tonight so I'm left to my own devices. I finished another chapter for my real estate course and have spent some time organizing photos and getting my blog on. Gail, Marc and I went to Toot's! for some fabulous ice cream (I opted for dairy-free since my throat is still sore) before settling in for the night.

I also had to convince my parents my flight leaves next Thursday not Wednesday. They were trying to get rid of me an entire day early.

I am not sleeping in an airport again this trip.

  1. Looks like a great day at the beach. You and your sis look so much a like. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay with your fam.

  2. You and your sister look so much alike!! So cute!! I'm glad you're having so much fun out there.. Is the Atlantic Ocean not the best? I don't know about there but in Connecticut it's not the smoothest sand and stuff like that but it's definitely warmer than when I was in California so that's a plus in my book :) Enjoy the east coast, I can't get enough of it!

Thanks for stopping by!
