She's the closest thing I have to a Taylor tot.

My little chocolate chip milkshake (um, that's one of Maddie's new nicknames) is at the vet today for oral surgery.

My heart is broken into teeny tiny little pieces. She shook the entire time I sat in the vet's office with her. Every time a vet tech came into our waiting room she averted her eyes and burrowed into my lap a little deeper. *pangs of guilt*

While I was on vacation in Maine, Kev informed me that part of Maddie's back molar was detached from the rest of the tooth, but still attached at the gums. So... he said it could flap back and forth like a loose tooth while the rest of the tooth stayed still. Gross.

I decided to bite the bullet and spend more money on Maddie's teeth than I've spent on my own in the last four years. What else is a savings account for?

It may seem a little silly, but I'm still going to request good vibes and prayers for my little chocolate chip. I really really really want her to wake up after the procedure and come home to me.

Thanks.

  1. Oh poor thing! I hope the oral surgery went well. Thats too bad about her tooth, sounds painful. Im pretty sure I would do just about anything for my dogs I love them so much!

  2. Awww...sad! Sorry about your little Maddy-kins and her bum tooth. But you know what, you are good pet owner. Some would have just let that go and get infected which could have caused serious pain. Even though it's hard, you are doing the right thing!
