The Forgotten Carols

Kev and I saw Michael McLean's The Forgotten Carols last night. I didn't know what to expect, and it started out pretty rough. Unfortunately, having had so much experience between the two of us with theatre (whether on stage or off) we were affected by the bad lighting. The spot couldn't follow the performers with a GPS.

Don't get me wrong, overall the show was awesome. I cried a lot and loved a lot of the songs. I was so glad to have a reminder of our Savior and the gift we've all been given.

It was just difficult to enjoy the show when the spot light kept dropping off the performers and wandering around the stage trying to find them.

I think the best part of the night was the funnel cake Kev bought for us to share. And then the best part after that was when Kev decided he was done with it and let me eat more than my fair share.

If you have the chance, go see the show sometime. There are still performances in Utah this month! Also, at the tail end of December the show will be in Nevada and Arizona.

Now that the songs are stuck in my head, I feel like I'm really in the Christmas spirit.

  1. Ah, I totally know what you mean. Vince + I both have spent lots of time in different productions and on stage and such... so when we are seeing something, I definitely notice those types of things. And then I can't stop noticing them!
