It's my party and I'll pump if I want to.

Aspen was given a blessing in church by Kev on Sunday, which serves as the means by which her name is established in the records of the LDS church. It was a spiritual experience for me to listen to Kev as he held his baby girl in Sacrament meeting and utilized his Priesthood to bless her. He expressed his desire for Aspen to develop a relationship with God, and with our Savior, Jesus Christ. If she chooses to do that, I believe she'll find a lot of happiness in her life.

The best part was probably afterwards, when Kev held Aspen as he sat next to me, and I watched a single happy tear roll down his cheek. He loves his dear sweet baby so very much!

After the church meeting, a number of family members and friends gathered at the Pink House for refreshments and to enjoy the shade of the apple and pear trees in the backyard. My mom basically cooked all day Saturday in preparation and the set up was amazing. I didn't have to lift a finger to get anything ready for the party. Which is great because as soon as I got home I had to lock myself in my closet to pump my gigantic left boob. Otherwise it would have burst like a party pinata and no one needed to see that.

It was a fabulous day with lots of sunshine and good friends. Many thanks to my family for all their hard work because if they hadn't been there to help there wouldn't have been a party at all. People would have come over and awkwardly stared at each other while I served pop tarts.

  1. You look so beautiful Liv. Congratulations on the blessing.

  2. It was a beautiful blessing! Sorry we couldnt come over afterwards but thanks for letting us share the special day with you guys.

And your comment on your left boob made me laugh. Just reminds me the first time I was engorged holy cow!

Thanks for stopping by!
