This is how we do it.

Remind me to tell you about the time Kev and I were almost to the airport (as in, one exit away) when I realized I'd forgotten all of Aspen's baby food for the all-day trip we were taking across the country.

And then I'll tell you that Kev drove us to West Valley like a madman and we stopped at a gas station to ask for the nearest grocery store. And I ran inside, grabbed a few jars of baby food, a lunch box, and a bag of frozen peas to shove in my carry on.

Also, remind me to tell you about not being able to find any high chairs in one of Chicago O'Hare's many food courts and I'll tell you that I sat Aspen on top of a table and proceeded to shovel sweet potatoes and pureed fruit into her mouth. I'll also tell you that she was an ANGEL on both flights and I couldn't be more pleased with how happy she was the entire day.

I'm also pretty proud of myself for being a mom genius in the O'Hare terminal during our 3 hours layover.

To give my arms a break I balanced her stroller on a seat and let her snooze for an hour. I love this little kiddo so much. And I love having my hands free while she naps on the go.

  1. You did it! Congrats! Now have a blast on vacation. :)

  2. That is awesome it went so well, despite the rocky start. Man I hate those moments when you realize you forgot something very important and there is no time to go back. I hope you have a great vacation.

Thanks for stopping by!
