Happiness held is the seed; happiness shared is the flower

Last week while walking the parkway, Kev and I strolled off the path and admired all the beautiful plots throughout the garden area. Isn't this flower ginormous? I've had a lot of success with my flowers this year, and I'm hopeful I can branch out (haha, plant joke) more next spring. I don't know if I'll ever be able to cultivate a bloom this stunning, but at least I can get ideas from the parkway... even if I can't replicate them.

Later this week I'll have to update you on my flower beds. The hollyhocks are OUT OF CONTROL amazing. I'm so glad that Kev salvaged those leafy greens when we first bought the Pink House because they definitely turned out to be something good. I'm also relieved that everything friends gave me to transplant have stayed alive, with the exception of one plant that didn't like being in an urn. Sorry dude. Better luck next year.

  2. That flower is gorgeous. And way to go on keeping your flowers alive. It feels so good to see something you take care of flourish.
