Can someone else weigh in?

In December I went into stores where babies shouldn't be allowed. Meaning, stores with delicate breakable things. Kev stayed home while Aspen napped, and I discovered these dishes in a basement on 25th St.

I finally received a call back regarding their price, and I'm not sure if I should go for them. The set is priced at $36.95 and they're holding them for me the rest of the week. I initially felt like that was incredibly steep, but I have been thinking about them non-stop.

Do you think I should go back to the thrift store and attempt to haggle the price? Or just give in and go for it?

  1. how many is in the set? they're gorgeous, and you'll probably never find anything like them again...i say if you've been thinking about them a lot, do it! i've lost several items from second guessing, and there are several that i STILL think about to this day! they're really beautiful.

  2. I think it is very important to surround yourself with things you love so if you love them... go for it!!! I would definitely try to haggle the price a bit- the worst they'll say is no right? They're very pretty, I love the color.

  3. I agree with the comments above. Go for it. Definitely try haggling first. I hope you can get them for a little cheaper.

  4. You will just regret it forever if you don't get them. I have gone back to thrift/consignment stores to go get something I saw a week ago (just today) and it was gone. Go for it!But I agree, try to haggle the price as much as you can. I always have a hard time with confrontation.

  6. That's how I'm feeling- if I can't stop thinking about the dishes, then I'm going to regret letting them go.

But I think I will stick to my guns and negotiate the price. There's only 2, so almost $40 for both is too much!

  7. If you love something that much, that it consumes your thoughts, I say go for it. From experience. You don't regret buying things like that.
