The weekend I finally pampered myself, between wiping butts and noses.

Since Aspen has been sick (going on 5 days) she has not been herself. She has been throwing tantrums more frequently, she has been refusing to eat, she has been tired and snotty and coughing and sneezing. It is horrible for all of us. I just want her to be happy again, and eating healthy, and free of SNOT. I can't take much more snot.

Even better is that I can feel her germs in the back of my own throat. The whole weekend, I felt that hot tickle that precedes full-blown illness. So I'm just waiting for it to hit me like a truck and knock me out. That reason right there is why I vehemently HATE IT when Aspen gets sick; I'm always next. And it's so hard to take care of a family when you yourself feel like death.

Want some good news? No, seriously. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm trying to lighten the mood and help you forget about my impending demise via sore throat. On Saturday I got my hair cut and colored. That's the first haircut I've had in probably 6 months. And I don't remember that last time I dyed it. Technically, Kev was the last person to dye my hair. Black. From a box.

I'm excited to have such blonde hair. It seems appropriate to go lighter for summer. And it's always nice to chop off 4 inches of dull hair. I wish I could chop other dull things out of my life so easily. Like mopping the floor and folding laundry.

  1. Love the hair. It's always fun to have something different.

  2. Love your hair!!! I wish I had lighter hair so I could do fun things with it like highlights & totally not looking forward to when I start turning grey all over, yikes.

  3. Love it! WE mom deserve to pamper ourselves once in a while.

Thanks for stopping by!
