T is for Turkey

Melissa suggested I check out the Oopsey Daisy blog for some preschool ideas, and I found some wonderful Thanksgiving/letter "T" printables that Aspen and I used on Tuesday morning after breakfast. It was perfect timing, too, because when I went into Aspen's room to get her up for the day, she was talking about turkeys and having Bert and Ernie over (but NOT Elmo or Grover!) for Thanksgiving. I have no idea where she got that idea, but it totally jived with my preschool plans for the day.

Once again, I free-handed an animal for us to decorate, and it didn't turn out too badly. I referenced the printable from Oopsey Daisy but since I'm not really one for lesson planning, I basically just cut everything out freestyle before Aspen woke up. Go me!

She had a lot of fun, and just kept talking about having Bert and Ernie over. Whatever floats your boat, kid! I love that she put her turkey's nose on upside down. She really owned this project.

As usual, Aspen requested a video of her crafting, so we have to sneak one in. It's good for the grandparents to see what she's up to, anyway. Also, don't you LOVE her "princess dress?" She was helping me fold laundry last week and she decided that my purple WSU college tees are actually princess dresses. She wears one every night now and it's quite the task to convince her she can't wear a giant tee when we're in public.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you're in America)!
