A Valentine hairstyle

I'm at the point I'm not sure what to do with Aspen's hair. She HATES having it combed/brushed, so I often resort to braiding it at night to avoid tangles in the morning, and then I re-braid it the next day while she's distracted to keep the crazy to a minimum. I've thought about getting it cut into a bob to make it more manageable, but then I get sad about having less options for her. When she lets me, doing something with her hair is a lot of fun.

Also, I'm scared to take her to get her hair cut. I don't know if I have the energy to deal with that kind of unpredictable situation.

  1. If you get it cut, use Cookie Cutters for sure. They are great with kids, have all kinds of distractions, and aren't too expensive. Check online for specials. When we cut Bug's hair a million years ago, they had a food drive and I got 2 bucks off for bringing a can of food.

  2. That is so cute. I totally forgot to do something like this in Bailee's hair.

  3. That is so cute. I love how you used the cute barrette to hold it.
I did something similar with Zoie's hair for valentine's day except it was in the back and I braided the two heart pieces, in case you want another option. :)
I am all about those tuck through pony tails I learned from you and Anna. They keep Zoie's hair from being so crazy all the time.

  4. Oh, how I will miss those cute hairstyles. Hence, the fact that I try to cut my boys hair funky and fun at times. I hate just having it one way; I like to explore our options. Unfortunately the growing out hair has not worked on either of my boys and that makes me a bit sad. Bodee just had the worst haircut of his life that I am thinking of buzzing his head which terrifies me because his hair takes months to grow out. Jesse has his a some light steps on the right side for added character. Thankfully, both my boys are seriously angels while they get their haircut since this is pretty much a monthly routine.

Thanks for stopping by!
