Sleepover at Seth's

We all stayed up later than usual, Aspen included. Seth's house is just too much fun for normal bedtimes to be enforced, so she had an extra half hour to read books and horse around with her Uncle. I managed to make myself go to bed at 11, but Kev didn't stop working until 1.

At our house, there's a child-proof knob on Aspen's door so she's stuck in her room. At Seth's house, there isn't. Up until recently she didn't have any interest in opening the door herself, but lately she's learning there's a whole lot more that she can do.

The next morning my alarm went off at 7, reminding me to get up for Yoga. However, being at Seth's meant that I wasn't going to Yoga and could actually try sleeping until 8 when Aspen usually gets up. A few minutes after I silenced my alarm, I heard Aspen's door swing open and she stampeded down the hall yelling "IT'S MORNING MOMMY! MOMMY WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS?! IT'S MORNING MOMMY!"

I jumped out of bed and ran to get her as she walked around Seth's house in the dark, confused as to where everyone was. She was standing in his living room wearing her purple cupcake pajamas yelling that it was time to get up and have a snack. It was a hilarious start to our morning and even though we were all tired, we got to laugh about it all day.
