WE SURVIVED

We had a lot of help on Saturday and managed to move nearly everything in two trailer loads (and two truck beds) to the Lucky House. My visiting teachers in WJ helped me pack my kitchen on Thursday morning, and since one of them is married to the Elders' Quorum president, we had at least six men show up Saturday morning to help Kev load the truck while I was at Seth's with Aspen.

By the time I got Aspen ready for the day (to leave her with Seth until we moved everything) and showed up in WJ, the trailer had almost been filled for the first run of the day. It was amazing. I'm so grateful. We never would have made it without the help of our WJ ward.

We also had Kev's brother and two friends from Ogden come all the way to the LH to help unload the first haul and help pack up a second. It was wonderful. I don't mind actual moving day especially when we have so much support, but I hate everything that leads up to it.

When we got everything unloaded into the new house, I stupidly thought it'd be a good idea to immediately tackle unpacking. That turned into me standing in the kitchen with my hands on my hips while I tried not to hyperventilate. I even texted Emilie in Ogden and suggested I wait a couple of weeks to unpack until she was available to do it all for me.

So I bagged it and went with Kev back to my brother's to relieve him of babysitting. He had Aspen the entire day (potty-training and all) even though he was sick. I am so grateful to have such a supportive brother who was willing to take on a toddler (and Maddie) so we could move with one less thing to worry about.

We won't have Internet at our house until the 10th thanks to how NOT awesome Comcast is at switching over our service, so the updates will have to wait (although I did pre-write a post that's going up tomorrow, but it has nothing to do with moving). Just know that we're so thrilled to be in the LH and can't believe our luck at being in this neighborhood.

Can't wait to share pictures!
