It's your lucky day - ensuite bathroom

I cannot possibly share enough photos of the shower that Kev built. It. Is. Awesome. I'm so proud of the craftsmanship and dedication he put into this space. It is probably the most beautiful part of our house right now.

I ordered the shower curtain through my good ol' friend Mandi and when ti finally arrived I was giddy. I'd been gone with Aspen all afternoon/evening and although we had bags to unpack and it was bedtime for her, we unpacked the shower curtain and hung it up so we could stare at it.

Even the dog wanted to stand in the shower stall with Kev and Aspen after I hung up the curtain and stood back to look at it. It's so exciting to finally see it coming together. We still need to install the vanity and medicine cabinet, as well as the casing and trim, but the bathroom has still come a long way from the gutted mess it was when we bought the house.

I can't believe how well the colors in the curtain complement the wall color and the bath mats that I randomly picked up from WalMart. I hated them for a few days as they sat in the bathroom (before the curtain arrived) but now that I see it all together I think I'll keep them.

What do you think?! Do you want to come over and use my fancy new master bathroom? I promise I'll stop staring at it long enough to give you some privacy. I'll also get some photos of the finished room up soon for those of you who can't see it in person.

wall color: Peacock Blue by Glidden (I recommend color-matching with a better brand, though) // shower curtain: BedBath&Beyond // curtain rod: Tanner Glass and Hardware // bath mats: Better Homes & Gardens via WalMart, similar here in a different color // ALL tile: Home Depot // shower hardware: MOEN, similar here

  4. LOVE it! It looks so awesome, I'm totally jealous! I think the paint color and the mat look perfect with the new curtain. Don't you love it when things come together so nicely? Sure beats having to return and/or buy new stuff 50 times. :)
