J'adore VoxBox from Influenster

I was thrilled to be chosen to review Influenster's J'adore VoxBox this month, filled with all sorts of Valentiney goodies. Or, more accurately, some Valentine Hershey's Kisses and then a bunch of products to make a girl feel pretty.

Aspen was super-psyched, too. Who better to "review" chocolate than a three-year-old? I'd say she wholly approves of the product we received. Many thanks to Influenster, for sure.

The first product I tried is this Frizz Ease by John Frieda. Lately I've been curling my hair with my flat iron, but on Saturday I was planning to do yard work so I didn't want any fuss. I sprayed my freshly-washed hair with this, used my hair dryer for a few minutes and then called it good. Being pregnant, I am obsessed with smell, so I was relieved it didn't stink. That's saying a lotbecause basically everything made me want to barf for about five months. Smell is pretty much my main concern in life these days.

But ANYWAY. After mostly drying my hair I usually take the flat iron to it to either tame it to be more straight, or to get it curly. With this spray my frizzies weren't as bad as usual so I just pinned it to the side and headed out to the yard. It was so nice! Especially with winter static being such a pain, having something to tame my little baby hairs is helpful. By day two my hair was still pretty smooth (I pulled it up in a ponytail for my shower) and after using my flat iron, I didn't even use hairspray to tame flyaways. I'd say that's pretty amazing.

Kev also tried out the Vaseline lotion over the weekend, and said he liked it. He was worried that when he sprayed it on that mist was going to land all over the bathroom, but I think the aim is pretty good. Plus it smells awesomely manly. Y'know how Axe brand sprays/deodorants/etc are totally in-your-face with scent? The Vaseline spray was much more subtle and didn't smell like a college kid trying too hard. That's my kind of scent. We both often use Vaseline brand lotion for all-over moisturizer, but the last few times I've purchased it, the bottles clog before they're completely used up. I'm hopeful that this man spray will last longer for Kev. It's nice that there was a little something in the VoxBox just for him, too!

I'll let you know how the other products pan out; when I opened the Boots Botanics clay mask, it leaked all over me so I'm not sure if I'm going to love trying to manipulate that runny goo to form a mask on my face... we'll see.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions expressed are my own.
