My work-from-home job

A couple of months ago I started working for Mariel, who runs the blog, 'Or so she says...'. She was looking for someone to help manage behind-the-scenes stuff and after meeting with her she somehow decided I was a good fit.

It has been a completely new experience for me to work on a very successful blog, but I've enjoyed it. After the first month of learning the ropes and getting things organized, it's been a lot of fun. The contributors for OSSS are so creative and I've found that instead of feeling like I suck in comparison, I'm actually inspired to try some of their ideas. Whether they be recipes or simple crafts, or just free printables (which are great because they require no work whatsoever), I've loved what they have to offer.

I've already made the Mango Sherbet (shared by contributor Ruthie) and next up are the origami heart love notes from Amy. Aspen loves to pull things apart, so these will be perfect valentines for her.

And I'm not just saying good things about it because it's my job (it's not technically in my job description that I have to pimp the blog). I promise you there are legit, good ideas on OSSS. It's so nice because it's all in one place and you don't have to hunt around the Internet to find them. You could also just like the Facebook page for OSSS and get a lot of the updates via that.

Lately I've been in a blog funk (hence my lack of posting) and I've even stopped reading a lot of the blogs I used to. It's nice to have a fresh batch of new bloggers to check out and get inspiration from. And shooting emails back and forth with the OSSS contributors each week gives me one more connection to the outside world, which I crave.

So if you're looking for some new ideas, or even just a monthly printable for visiting teaching or holidays, visit 'Or so she says...'. I'm having a lot of fun seeing what Mariel and all the contributors come up with each week.

  1. I'm Mariel's Advertising Representative (and sister-in-law), and I jumped over to your blog after reading your comments over there! I'm so glad she found you to help out with the contributors! She speaks highly of you, and maybe someday we'll actually get to meet! Good luck with the new baby on the way!

    1. Thanks Rebecca! It's fun to be a part of the team.

Thanks for stopping by!
