Rainy Day Birchbox continued
Remember my Rainy Day Birchbox? Well, I wanted to let you know how some of the products panned out.
#1. theBalm lip creme is an awesome shade of pink. It's very subtle and I initially loved it. However, after a couple of hours, it left that unattractive ring around my lips that some balms/lipsticks are known for. It's gross. I've tried using a chapstick/primer before using the balm, but I still encounter the same problem. I never used it as a blush becasue I tend to be naturally pink-cheeked, but perhaps it would function better as such for someone will a darker complexion than mine.
#3. Klorane dry shampoo is awesome! I love that it didn't have the same white residue that other dry shampoos leave behind. It did a better job than Suave and Tresemme at eliminating the oily feeling I have in my hair on my third day of not washing. It also doesn't have a strong fragrance, which I love. I don't want it to smell like I'm just trying to cover up greasy, unwashed hair with an overwhelming scent, and this milky dry shampoo definitely hit the mark.
#4. This black Cynthia Rowley eyeliner is super creamy. I usually buy a Maybelline liner that I feel glides on well, but this stuff blows Maybelline out of the water. If it wasn't black, I'd use the CR liner every day. I prefer something more subtle (brown), but when I want to dress up a bit, the black is a great alternative. This liner is so smooth and it blends well when I put an eyeshadow with it. I would love to try this in some other shades.
I still haven't tried the body scrub, but that might be a nice product to use after the baby is born and I need a little pampering. Or just a reason to lock myself in the bathroom and have some alone time!
