As it turns out, I can survive a Saturday at the pool. I thought it was bonkers to even consider going, especially so close to the end of summer break. But I mentioned to Kev that I'd be willing to go if he wanted to come, and he was all over that.
Poor guy hadn't yet been swimming the entire summer. I'm glad we could go together and that he didn't get a work call while we were there. Yes, he did end up going to work from 9p-2a, but at least we got pool time beforehand, dang it!

They both had a blast. We were able to spend almost three hours at the pool, and it felt like the perfect amount of time. Linc slept through most of it again, and only woke to be nursed, and another time Kev rocked him back to sleep while I swam with Aspen. He's a great pool buddy!
I love his little swim suit! And I'm glad he's actually worn it twice so far; I bought it thinking I'd only use it when we go to the beach on our Maine vacation. It's nice to get more use out of it. I took Linc in the water for a few minutes and sat him on my legs so he could experience the pool for the first time. He wasn't too impressed. Just wait until he feels the unheated waters of the Atlantic Ocean. I'm sure that will get a reaction out of him.
Our outings with Kev feel like they're few and far between these days, so I'm grateful he took time away from other projects to spend an afternoon at the pool with us. Aspen really wanted to take her Daddy to the super-fun pool, and I'm glad we were able to make that happen. She had a wonderful time showing him around and cruising down that slide with him over and over and over aaaaaaaaaaaand over again.
